To allow the Subvert to be easily carried and keep it available for immediate access, its handle includes a polished stainless steel pocket clip configured for right-side, tip-up carry. A portion of the matte-finished liners is also exposed to allow access to a lanyard hole and to complement the aesthetics of machined accents on the knife’s pivot pin. They are capped by contoured orange G-10 scales and joined by a matching G-10 backspacer that provides additional strength while allowing an easy-to-clean open-backed construction style. The Subvert’s handle is built on a framework of thick, skeletonized titanium liners that give it outstanding structural strength and form the foundation of its stout LinerLock mechanism. The satin-finished blade also has a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ and rides on twin ball-bearing pivot washers that ensure an ultra-smooth one-hand-opening action. Its dramatically styled blade is crafted from CPM® S30V® particle metallurgy stainless steel and features a broad profile, pronounced belly, and full-flat grind for maximum edge length and extreme cutting performance. It was a great experience, all the people I met in line were super nice and some of us sort of grouped up to help each other find what we wanted since we had different goals.Designed by Israeli goldsmith and custom knifemaker Nati Amor, the Spyderco Subvert faithfully translates all the key qualities of his handcrafted “Sabotage” design into a premium-quality production folder. Both were returns, both with broken tips. Some models there were hundreds of, others there were very very few. ![]() I think my to-buy list will be much shorter now that I have had time to handle most of the product line and have seen what I want to carry. I havent compiled anything similar for this year yet. ![]() The chart I posted above was just part of my spreadsheet made BEFORE I went to the sale, based on sale prices others had posted from years prior, so some were not similar at all. There were not a lot of broken tip knives compared to seconds that were difficult to find the defect on. Also, the chipped blades I bought were not representative of what was at the sale. I remember most of the fixed blades werent as heavily discounted as I would have liked, which kept me from buying them. It certainly was not nearly the same discount as the other knives. Unless they drastically changed Mule discounts last year, when I was there the year before I seem to remember them only being discounted by $10 or $15 from MSRP. This folder sports a clean, balanced aesthetic based on Nati's handmade Sabotage custom. The above is all speculation, but might give you somewhat of an idea of whether the sale is worth it to you.
